Going for a dive in the Azores is a great way to explore the islands’ sealife. Dive trips are available on all three triangle islands with a variety of dive packages on offer depending on your experience and ability. Azores divesites include walls, flats, seamounts, banks and even caves and grottos. There are about 100 species of near-shore fish – some of the better known are Atlantic bonito, parrot fish, triggerfish, yellowmouth barracuda, common bream, thornback ray, conger eels, morays, blackspot seabream, forkbeard and groupers.
Central Sub also rents out snorkelling gear, so why not pick some up before heading for the beach.
